During my time spent in Italy over the Christmas holidays I visited my parents in Naples and went sight seeing in Rome. Whilst at my parent’s house I visited a local English artist, Caroline de Peyrecave.

I had the opportunity to have a behind the scenes access to her studio within her Italian home. The artwork she produces is portraiture ranging from oil paintings to charcoal sketches. When speaking to Caroline I discovered in school she had a great love for textiles but painting has always been held in her heart.
Studying in Florence Caroline was taught how to paint portraiture work. Although the skills art school taught Caroline she always worked hard to create her own style work, which in my opinion, she has.
