Biography of Jack Markell
Jack A.
Markell was born in 1960 in Centerville, Delaware. He grew up in Newark, Delaware and graduated from Newark High School. He went on to attend Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he earned a degree in economics.
He also holds a degree from the University of Chicago.
Early Career
Before being elected as the Governor of Delaware, Markell served as the State Treasurer of Delaware.
